I can’t wait until the parade for the 100th anniversary! YAY! The town Mom grew up in has a lot of great places. My grandma was also born here and they lived on a farm. The farm was built by Great Grandpa Otto and Grandma Genoveve. That was a really long time ago—almost 100 years! Now the town is having a party!

The town made some new changes. There is a new road down main street and some old houses have been taken down. Everyone planted nice gardens and made very pretty yards. There might be some fireworks and special foods. There will be an art show, pancake breakfast, Show N Shine, children’s events (I don’t know anything about that yet), school reunion, a magic show and more. I am going to be playing two songs on the piano for one of the things. I also heard that there will be airplane rides. I never knew that!

I know that the parade is going to be very fun and exciting. I am hoping that I will get to ride on the Prairies North float or some other float! At one parade I went to they threw candy. That was the Calgary Stampede Parade. This parade won’t be as big as that but I hope we get candy.

Grandpa and Grandma and maybe my auntie and uncle are coming pretty soon for the centennial. They will be surprised when they see the damage at the lake where they own a cabin. We had a big storm and when the storm hit, it destroyed some houses and some were completely gone. Our friend had half of her roof torn off. She spent a lot of time and days on it. It was a very nice house so we helped her clean up. The trees fell down on the road and we had to climb over them to get to the cabin. We didn’t have power for 4 days. It made me scared but it also showed how powerful God is.

In our yard the animals were all okay even though trees fell down at the entrance of our driveway and on the corral fence My brother was very worried about our two kittens but the kittens were okay. In the morning, my brother and I looked out the window and a tree fell in our trampoline! That was why the dogs were barking in the night! Haha! Our neighbours came and helped us take it out.

So, we have a lot of fun coming up! After the centennial I will have some pictures to show you of the parade. The people in Saskatchewan really help each other out and they deserve to have a BIG PARTY!  :-)
