Introducing Mackenzie Hamon
Mackenzie Hamon, Associate Editor, Prairies North Magazine
Prairies North Magazine is growing thanks to our subscribers and advertisers! We want to introduce you to our newest staff members, and have some fun at the same time. We asked each new staff member to answer 3 questions for us, and have posted their answers for you to see. Here we introduce MacKenzie Hamon, who has joined Prairies North as our new Associate Editor.
1. What is your favourite Saskatchewan memory?
It's a toss-up between pierogies and cabbage rolls. Always a staple at family dinners, always delicious.
2. What is your favourite Saskatchewan place?
My grandparents farm near Edenwold, which has fueled and fostered my love for the prairies for as long as I can remember.
3. What is your favourite Saskatchewan memory?
One of my favourite memories of Saskatchewan was when I went to Waskesiu with my family. I was much younger, but I remember seeing the forest, and realizing that there was more to Saskatchewan than just the prairie; it was the first time I really took stock of, and appreciated, Saskatchewan as a whole.
I also have A LOT of memories in curling rinks across the province--something that's not about to change anytime soon, which is okay with me!
