Marr Residence, the oldest building in Saskatoon still at its original location, earned a special place in Canada's history in 1885. The house served as a field hospital for victims of the Northwest Resistance.
Come join us as we explore the clothing that would have been worn when the Marr Residence was new! Look at the methods and techniques that went into the production of clothing in the home in the 1880s, 1890s and 1900s. Learn about the essential components of a Victorian lady's outfit and try creating your own costume elements based on historical patterns and techniques. You are also welcome to enjoy a tour of the house.
Hands-on, demonstration workshop; no registration required. Free admission, donations welcome.
