A 4 day event featuring fishing, golf and music that provides a comfort zone for military personnel to enjoy an erstwhile unavailable experience to interact with each other and begin a healing process, especially for those dealing with PTSD. Put together by volunteers with one goal; to show and express our heartfelt appreciation to our veterans who are challenged by physical and/or mental wounds sustained by active participation in recent or past military conflicts. About 120 of these Warriors from the USA, Great Britain, Australia and Canada are expected to arrive in Regina on Aug. 1 and will Cavalcade to Nipawin where they will enjoy fishing on Tobin Lake, golfing and musical events like the Warriors Wing Ding at Tobin Lake Resort, Sat. Night Formal Gala headlined by Canadian country music star Gord Bamford, at Nipawin's Evergreen Centre, Gospel sing, Heroes Hoedown,
Monday folk fest headlined by Saskatchewan Express and emceed by Murray McLaughlin. Bobby Henline, wounded warrior and comedian will return. Her Honour, LG Vaughn Solomon Schofield, will not only attend the event once again but has volunteered to be Patron. Many other Saskatchewan music stars and local ethnic groups will also participate.
