The home of the Station Arts Centre Co-operative is a renovated CN Railway station in Rosthern Saskatchewan serving as an art gallery, seminar space, Tea Room, and performing arts Theatre. We present an annual summer theatre to sold out audiences, providing a unique cultural experience, a peek into the past, and good food.
Come and join us for a home-grown pre-show dinner, a quality live theatre performance, and an art exhibit by well known Saskatchewan artists. Group rates are available.
The Station Arts Centre is located west of the tracks on the corner of Railway Avenue and the main down town street. The Tea Room and Gallery are open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 - 4.
Small towns are known for their community spirit, and Rosthern is no exception. When the town's old CN Railway Depot closed, a group of dedicated community organizers decided to renovate the building and turn it into a local cultural centre. Today you can enjoy the fruits of their labour, when you visit the Station Arts Centre.
The Centre was renovated to preserve the original architecture, particularly the mansard roof. Mansard roofing is distinctive because its windows are fitted right into the roof. The Station Arts Centre is one of the few examples of mansard roofing left in Saskatchewan.
