Adult Science Night
Adult Science Night
Paint Nites are taking off in Regina and across Saskatchewan as a fun, alternative date night, and they aren’t the only game in town! If you’re looking for a unique idea for a date night in Regina, we’ve collected some of the top picks here.
Adult nights at the Science Centre
These licenced, adult-only evenings at the Saskatchewan Science Centre happen once a month, allowing you to explore the displays and see advanced programming and adult-themed stage shows with a drink in hand. Each event features a new theme, so you can hit it up every month and discover something new every time. Bonus: Tickets are only $10 per person, or $8 with your Science Centre membership.
Chocolate Regina Chocolate Parties
Chocolate Regina describes its parties best: “You and your friends enter the chocolate shop, we lock the door, and you start to taste as many of our 50 chocolates as you desire. You get your hands smothered in chocolate ganache while we teach you how to make truffles, pausing occasionally to taste more chocolates.” Sign me up. Tickets are a bit expensive at $50 per person, but worth the splurge. Book as a 10-person group, or buy tickets for Thursdays.
Games on Tap at O’Hanlon’s Irish Pub
Who can turn down board games and a beer? Every week, SaskGames and ComicReaders host Games on Tap at O’Hanlon’s Irish Pub. Ambassadors and attendees bring a variety of board games to play, welcoming anyone who shows up to join in the fun. Newbies are welcome to try games they’ve never played before as each game will have a teacher to help. Best of all, this event is free though if you want to buy a drink, that’s on you.
Boomers Air Park
If you and your date have more energy than you know what do with, head on over to Boomers Air Park to blow off that steam. Jumping is as fun as you remember it to be, and doubly so in a giant facility filled with trampolines! (Though it’s probably harder than you remember.) Book to jump in the last two hours on Saturday and Sunday and you get two hours for $20, including a free pair of jump socks. Plus, there will be fewer kids to contend with.
Wascana Pistol Club
Whether you’re comfortable with guns, or you’ve never used one before, you can give it a shot (get it?) at Wascana Pistol Club. First-time shooters must go through an orientation, including a test, which will allow you to shoot rim-fire only. To shoot centre-fire firearms, you must pass an aiming test. You don’t need a firearms licence to shoot at the club! The cost is only $22 per person, making this another affordable outside-the-box date night.
